Hi Michael,
The Object already exists error message occurs only when Active Directory detects a duplicate user with following attributes,
1. Display name
2. Full Name
3. sAMAccountname
4. userPrincipalName
In User Creation Templates please configure Check for Duplicates on the above attributes and try creating a user. Then you will not face any error messages.
