Trying to setup a new user using a template and get the following error: Error Code 8007202f : Error in creating user, A constraint violation occurred.  Any suggestions?  The only one I found so far has this same error but using a CSV.  I'm only adding one test user

Hi John,

A constrain violation means that the value specified for an active directory field is incorrect(Example:does not meet the length requirement for a specific field such as password)

For starters,check to see if the password input configured in the template is random password if so, configure a password complexity for that random password that matches your domain(or a case where password is specified in the CSV file).

Note:The specified error could also occur for other AD attributes,If this problem occurs again,kindly zip the ADMangLog_timestamp and serverout_timestamp to find the exact cause of the problem.

error updating to 6.3.6

updating from 6.3 to 6.3.6, but it keeps uninstalling

What could be causing these unknown source, filenotfound or access is denied issues?
I can't start it now after the uninstall.
hoping i can get the update to apply and then it'll start.

I've made sure i'm starting command prompt with run as administrator.

Access Denied error message may occur when the account with which you're logged on to the server does not have suitable Folder permissions. We would like to analyze this issue further to identify the root cause. Please send us an email to support@admanagerplus.com so we may have a remote session.

I am setting up ADManager Plus for the first time.  I have created a HelpDesk Tech and assigned the roles of Unlock Account and Reset Password.  I login with the technicians account and attempt to unlock a users account.  I get the following error - Error Code : 80070005 - Access Denied.

Hi John,

ADManager Plus uses the credentials configured under Domain Settings-->Edit Domain Details to perform actions in Active Directory. When creating Help Desk Technicians make sure you enable Impersonate as Admin so the technicians may inherit the privileges of the authenticated account.

Mixed Mode assembly build error in ADmanagerPLUS

Getting the following error, when trying to create account, within ADmanagerPLUS

"Note: Error in creating mail enabled user. Error: Mixed mode assembly is built against version 'v2.0.50727' of the runtime and cannot be loaded in the 4.0 runtime without additional configuration information. Click here to troubleshoot., Office 365 user created successfully This user will be synchronized after DirSync is completed."

The account will be created on our local AD, but the Office 365 account is created but shows a status of "in cloud" instead of "synced with Active Directory".

ManageEngine service is running on a Server 2012 standard 64-bit machine.

I've rebooted the machine, no change..

Anyone have any ideas?

Automation workflows not viewable by other technicians

We created a bunch of automation tasks while logged in as the Admin account. 
Now when we login as an Active Directory account we don't see the automation tasks.
We have made the users Super Admins and we still don't see the tasks.

Are there any procedures to be able to have all of the technicians view/change automation tasks for each other?

Hi Drew,

Schedule reports and Automations are Login ID based. User who created can only view or modify them. We have included a feature to either delegate or allow access to other technicians to view these schedules. We will update you when the feature is implemented.

Problem Updating to 6.3.6 or 6.3.7

Hi,
I´m unable to update to 6.3.6 or 6.3.7.

Every time after upgrade i get For Input String: "False" when try to login with Domain Account.

We need downgrade. On 6.3.1 Its OK.

SMTP settings, please help!!!!!!

Hi there,

We are using the AD Manager Plus and Exchange 2010.
My organizations SMTP naming convention is Firstname.Lastname@Domain.com.

Our problem. Currently if the new SMTP address conflicts with the pre-existing SMTP address. A legacy mailbox is created with no associated email address which then affects the creation of the users Lync account.

If a user already has an SMTP address e.g. John.Doe@domain.com and a new user is being created in AD Manager Plus with the same names (John Doe),
when it comes to making the new SMTP address for this user is it possible to automatically make it John.Doe2@domain.com?

Hi Willus,

While creating users if Automatically update e-mail addresses based on recipient policy is checked Exchange assigns SMTP addresses. We may use user variables like %mail% when assigning SMTP address using ADManager Plus when Automatically update e-mail addresses based on recipient policy is unchecked.

We may append numbers or assign a different naming formats if a duplicate occurs to attributes like SAM Account Name, Logon name, Display Name, Full Name, E-Mail, Alias etc.

I am afraid ADManager might not append numbers or create duplicate SMTP address if Exchange assigns SMTP addresses.

performance of "Search AD objects" Searchbox on AD Manager Plus extremely slow

searching for a computer object using the builtin "Search AD objects"  Searchbox on AD Manager Plus extremely slow. at the moment, it takes approximately 30 seconds to return with a result when a similar search within the ADUC comes back within 1 second or less. are there any changes that i need to make to speed up the retrieval time?
