Enable search bar for help desk

Hello there,

I'm looking for a way to the search bar for the help desk display .

Currently it is only visible to administrators .

Hi Jim,

The build number you have mentioned happens to be ADAudit Plus related. Request you to apply the service pack for ADAudit Plus and check whether the PPM gets applied.

In case you're applying the service pack downloaded from the link given below in ADManager Plus product request you to send an email to support@admanagerplus.com so we may check further.

Hi Enrico,

Please edit the help desk role that has been assigned to the technician and enable the 'Search AD objects' check box and save the role. This will allow the technician to search for objects within ADManager Plus

I want to create mail enabled contacts, but Admanage is not able to see our Exchange servers even though I am logged on using my domain account that has Exchange Admin rights.

After applying the update to version 6.3.4 I can no longer use ADManager PLUS with-in AD360; I must open it in a new window.

I am getting the following error: "This content cannot be displayed in a frame"

Hi,

ADManager Plus uses Remote Powershell to enable Mailboxes or mail enable a contact in Exchange (For Exchange 2010 & 2013). Request you to enable remote powershell and connect to exchange server from the machine where ADManager Plus is installed using Windows Powershell.

Reason : ADManager Plus creates the account in AD by contacting ADSIEdit.msc console and it uses Exchange management console or Remote powershell to contact exchange and creates a mailbox or mail enabled contact using powershell commands if it is Exchange 2010 or Exchange 2013.

Try to establish connectivity to Exchange Servers with the help of below commands using Windows powershell present on the machine where ADManager Plus is installed and then try to create a Mail Enabled Contact.

$UserCredential=Get-Credential

$Session = New-PSSession -ConfigurationName Microsoft.Exchange -ConnectionUri http://emp-ex10/PowerShell/ -Authentication kerberos -Credential $UserCredential

Import-PSSession $Session

The webpage displays only the error the webpage con not shown in a frame.

Yes, we see the same here, in Chrome these windows remain blank, in IE you get the error. In a new page these do appear though, so luckily Managed Engine provided that link.

Same here.  The forums no longer appear in AD Manager, Servicedesk Plus or Desktop Central.

Hi, 
we're currently on AD Manager Plus v. 6.2.8.1.  I have not been able to successfully update the software to v. 6.3.5.  I have downloaded a few different update versions, in the hope that one might work, but none have.  The error I get is: "The ppm file that you ahve specified is not compatible with this product."
The versions that I have attempted to upgrade using are ""6200 through 6292", "6300 through 6341" and even some of the other, lower versions.
Can you suggest where I might get the correct ppm file from or how I might resolve the issue?

Hide System Template from Requesters view

Hi

I have built a new template for our requesters to complete, however, when they go to Request a new user, they are displayed with the System Template by default and have to change to another template manually. Is there a way to hide the system template from the end user.

I have already set the template i want as default and this appears under AD Mgmt > Single User Creation, but not under Workflow.

Hi Pabs,

Please follow these steps to Set a Template as default for a Workflow Requester,
1. Login to ADManager Plus with Default admin account
2. Click on Workflow-->Requesters-->Click on Edit for the technician you want
3. Click on Add \ Edit Template near Assign Templates
4. Click on Set as Default Near the Template you want
5. Click on OK-->Save the changes.
6. Login as the technician and check for the details.

AD Manager Plus Application stops when loging out from server.

I have been running AD Manager Plus for 30 days without any issues on a Windows 2012 R2 server, but now suddenly when activated a license the AD Manager Plus application stops working as soon as I logout from the server.


So I have to logon to the server again and start the AD Manager Plus application again. As long as my account is logged on to the server everything is working as it should, but as soon as I log off again the AD Manager application stops again.

I can't find anything in the Event viewer or anything in the AD Manager Plus logfiles. Maybe I'm looking at the wrong log files but I have no clue to what the problem is.

Is this problem known? and if so what could I do to fix it?
