Hi Herryx,

Since the issue is generic I request you to drop an e-mail to support@admanagerplus.com with your contact number so that we can assist you in analyzing the issue over a remote session.

Please check for few things,

1. Try accessing the application with the 'name of the server:port number' instead of using 'localhost'
2. Make sure that the CSV file has LDAP headers

I have ADmanager Plus installed and the Java process keeps on crashi ng the server. ADManager support has been "looking" into the issue for about 2 weeks with no solution. We'd really like to use this software to run reports for our 1.1 million user AD, but doesn't seem like this software is working.

Resolving ERR_SSL_WEAK_SERVER_EPHEMERAL_DH_KEY error in Chrome version 45

Hi,

You receive the error when the server is trying to setup a secure connection and due to a disastrous mis-configuration, the connection wouldn’t be secure. As of Chrome version 45, this error message is triggered if the SSL/TLS handshake attempts to use a public key smaller than 1024 bits. Please replace the cipher in the SSL connector to fix it.

Please edit the Server.xml file located in the "<Installation directory>\ManageEngine\ADManager Plus\conf\"  and replace the given ciphers

Here are the instructions to modify the SSL Connector.

* Stop ADManager Plus (Click Start --> All Programs --> ADManager Plus --> Stop ADManager Plus).

* Take a backup of the existing "server.xml" file located in <installation directory>\conf folder (C:\ManageEngine\ADManager Plus\conf) 

*  Edit the "server.xml" file to modify the SSL Connector which would be at the bottom of the page.

* Start ADManager Plus (Click on Start --> All Programs --> ADManager Plus --> Start ADManager Plus).

Problem with apostrophes in user names?

Just checking if this is a known issue or something odd with our set up. We have found in AD Manager Plus that we are unable to open the properties for any users who have an apostrophe in their surname (eg o'brien). The users come up in the search results and their name appears as a link as normal but clicking on it does nothing.
This seems to be across IE 10 & 11, Chrome & Firefox.

I don't believe this was an issue until the last update was done fairly recently to 6.3.0 Build 6310 because we have always had these users in our AD & have been using ADMgr for several years. We don't have many users like this but I would have thought I'd have found out about it sooner if it had always been a problem!

Is this something others have found?

We have build 6310 and I checked a user with an apostrophe and it is working ok, so the build shouldn't be an issue.

Dear Support:

i'm migrating ADManager to a new server , as recommended by you V 6000 installed and upgraded  till V 6300 , when i came to upgrade to V 6320 i found the local DB is still mysql, but the old server is PGSQL , please advise how to upgrade the DB to can complete the migration

ADManager Jump To ADAudit don't work

Hi,

We are using ADManager 6321 and we can't use the Jump To function to open the other tab for ADAudit automaticaly, when we select "Jump To / ADAudit" it only opens other tab with the following URL and it shows the ADAudit page from ManageEngine to download the trial version, watch the live demo, etc:

localhost:8080/html/adap.html?LinkID=65

We tested the following:

- Replacing "localhost" for the IP Address or hostname but it does not work.
- Restarted the services (ADManager and ADAudit) many times but the issue still happens.
- Disabled the https protocol in both apps

NOTE: Our ADManager is over 8080 Build 6321 and ADAudit is over 8081 Build 4681.

Have you any idea about this?

Run ADManager Plus as a Service using MSA

Hi there,

We have installed ADManager Plus on Win server 2008 R2 and we would like to use a Managed Service Account to run the Service. We have installed the account and the service does start and runs without error using the MSA but we noticed the dashboard modules do not load when running the service with this account.

What permission do we need to assign to  the MSA so that it can run the service and load all of the modules?

Please grant explicit permissions for the MSA on the Manage Engine folder (Installation folder) and then restart the NT service.

Bulk Importing Mail Contacts using CSV import

I am trying to import multiple contacts using the Create Bulk Contacts and importing a CSV file.  I set my CSV file up based on the sample.  Everything imports successfully, but when I look at the contacts in the Exchange Admin Center, their email address does not show up.  They also do not show up in the Global Address List.

Since you have used the example in the application for creating a CSV file, I believe you would have used the headers 'targetAddress', 'mailNickname' and msExchadmingroup' in the CSV that you imported.

SSL Ports on ADManager

I'm currrently hosting ADManagerPlus and ADSelfService Plus on the same Server.

ADManager Plus has its own IP and ADSelfService Plus has a virtual IP

ADManager Plus is using Ports 8080 and 8443 while ADSelfServicePlus is using 80 and 443.

While I can access our custom URL for ADSelfService Plus (selfservice.domain.com)  I can only access ADManager Plus when adding the port number to the end of the URL (admanager.domain.com:8443)

How can I access our custom URL without having to include the Port number each time? Is this something that I can modify in the server.xml file? I know that if the application were running on IIS i could probably redirect it but in this instance since the application is hosted off of a Tomcat Web Server that feature is not available correct?

Hi Salvatore,

First, I suggest you take a backup before try this.

We had a remote session with ManageEngine to check the issue, after that, he gave us these steps:

Access the ADAudit Plus database and navigate to http://ADAudit_Plus_Server:8081/runQuery.do 

  • Once accessed, please execute select * from adsproducts to get the details.
  • Verify the Product ID for ADManager Plus.

Once done, please access the database of ADManager Plus,

  • Open a command prompt-->Redirect it to <Installation Directory>\ADManager Plus\pgsql\bin-->Execute the below command 
  • psql.exe -U postgres -p 33306 -h 127.0.0.1 adsm    (This command would allow you to connect to the DB) 
  • After connecting to the DB please execute the below command,

 

insert into adsproductdetails values(3,'HTTP','ADAudit_Plus_Server','8081');



Salvatore, also is important you know the following:


(3,'HTTP','ADAudit_Plus_Server','8081')


1) Number 3 is the product ID (you see it after execute the    select * from adsproducts query

2) HTTP is the protocol that you use

3)  ADAudit_Plus_Server is the hostname or IP address of your ADAudit server

4) 8081 is the port used by ADAudit
